Senior Production 2024

The Wizard of Oz

Rangiora Town Hall (First week of July School Holidays)

Follow the journey of Dorothy Gale and her companion, Toto as they explore the magical land of Oz.  The Tale of the Wizard of Oz is not just an adventure story, but it is also a story about finding out who you really are and being proud of that.

Our tale begins with the story of the four Witches of Oz and also the arrival of the Wizard to Oz.  Is he who he say he is?  We then follow the well-known characters of Scarecrow, Tinman and Lion as they accompany Dorothy in her quest to return home.  This lively bunch are joined by the delightful Tip and Pumpkin-head, who complete the team who head to Elphaba’s castle to retrieve a magical crown.

With plenty of music, dance and some special aerial performances to compliment the comic script, this is a family show with something to make everyone smile.

All Intermediate & Senior group classes will be on stage in this production along with the auditioned cast of leads and specialty performers.

Suitable for the whole family.  Show will run around 2hrs  with short interval.  Food and drinks available onsite.
